I purchased this item yesterday and have yet to actually get any sound out of it. I am constantly searching for a signal, and when I find one I can see what is play, but no sound. I purchased this to be able to get more use out of my subscription, but it seems it was just a waste of money.
Does Not Fit Sportster 4 Model June 23, 2010

I bought this for my husband after our subx1 wore out, however, this model does not fit the Sportster 4 as I was told. It has two small tabs that get in the way and won't allow the unit to dock properly. This model might work well...I don't really know, since I can't get it to fit. The box it came in says it fits the Sportster 5.

I travel by car a lot and had trouble changing radio FM stations as I traveled from urban to very rural areas while listening in the car.
I use a converter that plugs into my cigarette lighter, put the boombox in the back seat of the car and the satelite receiver on the back dash and I never have to switch stations! The sound is crisp and clear - no hissing or static. A remote helps a lot to change stations and control volume.
When I reach my destination I take the boombox with me and set it up in the room I'm staying in to have music or talk as I go to sleep.
One of the best purchases I've made in quite some time.
